3G LsRK
3G LsRK is flanked by prefix sticky end C and suffix sticky end D in a 3G-compatible backbone. For more information on 3G hybrid DNA assembly and 3G parts, see the [http://2018.igem.org/Team:William_and_Mary/Part_Collection William and Mary 3G Parts Page].
LsrK is a kinase involved in a LuxS/AI-2 signaling pathway in Salmonella Typhimurium. This kinase catalyzes the phosphorylation of autoinducer-2 (AI-2) to phospho-AI-2. AI-2 acts as a "universal signal" for interspecies communication for quorum sensing.1
William and Mary iGEM encountered the coding sequence for LsRK through our collaboration with Virginia iGEM. For more information, visit [http://2018.igem.org/Team:Virginia/Parts Virginia iGEM's wiki]1
